Description
Network connectivity can be available through an onboard ethernet controller or an ethernet/NIC card. If you have a separate ethernet/NIC/network card, you need to obtain the drivers from the manufacturer of the card - even if the chip on the card is manufactured by VIA. The VT8231 and VT8233 southbridges, may be supplied with an integrated ethernet solution. To be sure, check the motherboard manual or the specifications of the mainboard on the manufacturer web site. Other mainboards might have what is often referred to as a companion chip. That is an ethernet chip which is separate to the South Bridge
Always use the most recent driver version available to work your computer properly. Search the latest drivers for your hardware configuration.Before installing a new driver make a Windows restore point to have a back up in case you install the wrong driver.
If your hardware device is older than the version of the driver is possible to not work,so find the exact match.
