Turin is an English Dictionary with a natural language interface so you can ask it question and talk to it like a person. It has 124,000 main head words with over 200,000 definitions. This latest version deals with plurals, so you can type "define dogs" and it will display information from the definition "Dog", this dramatically increases the number of definitions available for search and provides a much more comprehensive database of terms.
You can chat to Turin like a friend, ask it how it is, what it thinks about sport etc. That is only the fun part, there is a serious part at well. You can ask Turin about any of the 124,000 words it has in it's database and it will display all the data it has. Including parts of speech, word forms, Usage and other Dictionary data.
Turin is different kind of software, it is a 123,000 word English dictionary with a personality module added to it so you can talk to it like you would a person. Ask Turin "define apple" and you will get a dictionary definition of the word apple, with parts of speech, usage and other dictionary information. Ask Turin "How are you" and you will get a response like a person "Fine thanks". Turin has opinions and will chat to you like a person would but when you need information it uses it's in built database to try to find an answer. Think of Turin as a personal assistant.
