Description
Locate32 is software which can be used to find records from your harddrives and other locations. It works like updatedb and locate commands in Unix based systems. In other words, it uses databases to store knowledge about directory structures and uses these databases in searches. The benefit of these databases provides very fast searching speed. The software includes a dialog based application as good as console programs which can be used to both update and access databases. Supported operation systems are Windows 98/ME/NT4/2000/XP/Vista. * Find as you type feature * New option in Advanced settings: If asterisks given, search as if Match whole name is enabled * Improvements to the help file: F1 and ? button goes to right position in the help document folder and all options in Advanced settings are described * A database document folder name can contain %locatedir% which means the Locate32s directory * Some other fixes and changes
