The Downloader helps you to copy your images from an imaging device to your PC workstation and organize them into a structure as they get transferred to the computer. While downloading you will be able to store your images to sub folders that can be named to your personal preference, including date based naming, project naming etc. You can also name your folders the way you want them. File names can be constructed with over 100 possible predefined commands, including Exif/IPTC/XMP variables. If you need naming rules that are unique to your workflow, then you can use inline scripting to software even more advanced renaming rules. While your images get transferred you can add your initial descriptions to the images. This way you add your copyright messages, usage rules, your contact information, etc at the very start of your workflow. Additional options allow you to: * rotate images during transfer if your camera records this information * date the file using the cameras date * set the downloaded images to read-only * bookmark downloaded images * make duplicate copies of your images in an archive folder (mirroring) Then there is the option to remove downloaded image folders from the device, but not before your images on the hard drive are digitally verified first. Catalogue from the start The advantage of having an integrated Downloader is that the download process will integrate in your workflow and you can catalogue your images from the very first steps. With the Downloader, you can describe your images, assign catalogue labels, organize the images into portfolios, and make version sets for RAW and JPG combinations.
