Proxy and anti-censorship software

This anti-censorship utility offers you a free browsing experience, without restrictions, no matter which sites you’re trying to access or where they are geographically hosted. It basically „change” your computer’s location so it can not be restricted by any server.

The program will start running in the background instantly when you access the app’s executable. Its default configuration may as well meet the basic needs for which it was designed, without having you to make other settings.

On its „Server” tab, Freegate will display the list with all detected proxies servers and their connection speed and by default, it will connect to the fastest one. You can select a different server any time you want, especially if you experience speed slowdowns.

The „Status” tab displays the current default settings and if you’ll notice that the browser is not the one you currently use, you’ll have to change it and set the new browser proxy manually from „Settings” tab. You can also set the app to delete the Internet Explorer history and from”More settings” you can display the app’s icon in the system tray and customize it. The „restore defaults” function is also integrated.

Bottom line, Freegate does a great job without much user intervention. Just let it run in the background and enjoy the new browsing experience, much faster and restrictions free.
