AdventNet Agent Tester is a software designed to test the SNMP Agents and the MIBs implemented in an agent. Manually testing an agents implementation and its adherence to standards is time-consuming, error-prone, and labor-intensive. Agent Tester provides an environment to automate the testing process with regressive and progressive testing and to full the work within a short period. It applies the puissant built-in test cases over the private MIBs and provides a full test suite customized for the agent within minutes. Apart from tests conforming to the standards, Agent Tester permit you to build your own test cases according to the behavior of the agent. It can rapidly be done using intuitive GUI. Agent Tester saves the testing effort and moment dramatically. Agent Tester empowers the agent developers and product feature assurance engineers to improve the feature of their product, and enables the end users to verify whether the product is standards-compliant, before deploying it on their network. SNMP Agent Tester is a software designed to test the implementation of Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) and Management knowledge Base (MIB) in an agent. It provides you an automated environment for testing your SNMP agent exhaustively and rapidly. You just have to provide the agent information, load the MIBs implemented in the agent, and validate. To validate an SNMP agent, SNMP Agent Tester takes the following agent information: * Agent host, * Agent port, * Authentication details for v1 and v2 agents (read community and write community), * USM table user name for v3 agents, and * MIBs, both standard and private, implemented in the agent SNMP Agent Tester automatic maps the loaded MIB objects to the built-in test cases, validates the SNMP agent with reference to the standards, and generates reports.
